Dot NET Domain Name Registrations
When the .NET universal top-level domain name extension was first launched in 1985, together with the first domain name extensions on the World Wide Web, it was intended to be used by Internet Service Providers or infrastructure organizations. Due to the fact that there were no specific rules about the usage of the top-level extension, though, dot NET domains were obtained and used for diverse purposes and by loads of people. This extension represents a perfect substitution for .COM, particularly if the necessary domain with the latter extension is not free for registration.
Booking a .NET domain with our firm is simple and takes just a couple of minutes, given that we work with an ICANN-certified registrar firm. You can purchase such a domain for a time interval between 1 and 10 years, or, if you already own a domain, you can move it over to our firm and we will renew it after the transfer process is done. Transfers are available for all domains, which are at least 60 days old, provided that they are unlocked and that you have obtained an EPP transfer code – security measures set up by the dot NET Registry to prevent unauthorized transfers. You can easily edit the WHOIS details of the domain through your Control Panel interface, or, if you wouldn't like this information to be public at all, you can buy a Whois Privacy Protection service, so no one will be able to see your actual contact information.
The dot NET top-level domain extension supports internationalized names, so you can take a decision if you want to concentrate on a particular country or region using a domain name in the regional language, or the global online community – using a generic English name.
